The game between Top Four teams took place in Beer Sheva. Third ranked host Hapoel B/S (8-4) defeated 4th ranked Maccabi Raanana (6-3) 76-64. The winners were led by naturalized Polish point guard Tamir Ariely (190-90) who scored that evening 8 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and American swingman Jason Williams (198-83, college: UTEP) supported him with 19 points and 4 assists. Even 28 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks by American forward Samme Givens (198-89, college: Drexel) did not help to save the game for Maccabi Raanana. His fellow American import center Josh Hairston (203-92, college: Duke, agency: Octagon Europe) added 6 points and 6 rebounds. Maccabi Raanana's coach Barak Peleg rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel B/S keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Ironi Nes-Ziona. Maccabi Raanana at the other side dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. Hapoel B/S will play against Hapoel Migd.H. (#5) in Tarshicha in the next round. Maccabi Raanana will play on the road against Hap.R/G Givat. in Givataim and hopes to get back on the winning track.
