Regular Season Round 22: Liaoning FL - Guangzhou LL 119-98

Very expected game in Yingkou where 19th ranked Guangzhou (4-18) was rolled over by fourth ranked Liaoning Hunters (17-5) 119-98. Liaoning Hunters players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Guangzhou's players. American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) notched 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and the former international Ailun Guo (192-93) supported him with 22 points and 10 assists. Even 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists by American swingman D.J. Kennedy (198-89, college: St.John's) did not help to save the game for Guangzhou. International center Ziming Fan (211-98) added 17 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Liaoning Hunters have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Xinjiang FT. Guangzhou at the other side dropped to the bottom position with 18 games lost. Liaoning Hunters' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Guandong Tigers in Dongguan and it will be for sure the game of the week. Guangzhou will play at home against the league's leader Shanghai Sharks (#1) and hope to win that game.
