Regular Season Round 22: Sichuan BW - Zhejiang GB 149-124

No shocking result in a game when eleventh ranked Sichuan BW (11-11) smashed at home 15th ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (7-15) 149-124. Sichuan BW dominated down low during the game scoring 90 of its points in the paint compared to Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's 50. They outrebounded Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank 52-24 including a 36-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sichuan BW shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's players. 27 personal fouls committed by Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) notched a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 7 assists (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and guard Rongqi Huang (190-99) supported him with 23 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 35 points (!!!) and 4 assists by American point guard Willie Warren (193-89, college: Oklahoma) did not help to save the game for Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank. His fellow American import guard Lorenzo Brown (196-90, college: N.Carolina St.) added 23 points and 5 assists for lost side. Five Sichuan BW and four Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Jiangsu D. and Shanxi Zh. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with 15 games lost. Sichuan BW's next round opponent will be Jiangsu TX (#18) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play against Xinjiang Flying Tige in Urumqi and hope to win that game.
