An interesting game for Bnei Hasharon (8-4) which hosted in Hod Hasharon 4th ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (6-6). Third ranked Bnei Hasharon had an easy win 94-73. The game without a history. Bnei Hasharon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Bnei Hasharon outrebounded Hapoel Jerusalem 46-26 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. 27 personal fouls committed by Hapoel Jerusalem helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for international forward Karam Mashour (198-91, college: Morehead St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. American guard Stephen Dennis (198-87, college: Kutztown, agency: HMS) contributed with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners. Five Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. American Amare Stoudemire (208-82) replied with 20 points and the former international guard Bar Timor (190-92) added 12 points and 6 assists in the effort for Hapoel Jerusalem. Bnei Hasharon maintains third position with 8-4 record having just two points less than leader Maccabi T-A. Hapoel Jerusalem at the other side dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with Hapoel T-A. Bnei Hasharon are looking forward to face Maccabi Haifa (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Hapoel Jerusalem will play against Maccabi K/G and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
