The game in Rosh Pina was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Hapoel Holon (9-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Galil Gilboa (5-7). Hapoel Holon managed to secure a 7-point victory 100-93. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Galil Gilboa won third quarter 28-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hapoel Holon shot 60.7 percent from the field. Hapoel Holon outrebounded Galil Gilboa 39-26 including a 36-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Hapoel Holon players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Galil Gilboa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated also this game. The best player for the winners was swingman James Bell (198-92, college: Villanova) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds. Khalif Wyatt (193-91, college: Temple, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 31 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Eric Griffin (203-90, college: Campbell) who recorded 29 points and 9 rebounds and Jason Siggers (194-85, college: Albany) added 24 points, 5 assists and 4 steals (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hapoel Holon have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-3 record behind leader Maccabi T-A. Newly promoted Galil Gilboa keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. Hapoel Holon's next round opponent will be Ironi Nahariya (#7) at home where they are favorite. Galil Gilboa will play against Maccabi Ashdod and hope to win that game.
