Regular Season Round 15: Treviglio - Tortona 92-69

There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Treviglio (6-7) crushed at home 4th placed Tortona (8-7) 92-69 on Thursday. Treviglio made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for Lithuanian Paulius Sorokas (202-92, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 8 rebounds. International swingman Pierpaolo Marini (193-93) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Treviglio players scored in double figures. Treviglio's coach Adriano Vertemati felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international power forward Luca Garri (207-82) answered with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and American point guard Phil Greene IV (187-92, college: St.John's) added 14 points in the effort for Tortona. Treviglio moved-up to eleventh place in A2. Loser Tortona keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Treviglio will face Scafati (#16) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Tortona will play against the league's second-placed Legnano (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
