Very expected game when 16th ranked Scafati (3-10) lost on the road to third ranked Agrigento (9-6) 81-70 on Thursday. Agrigento dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Scafati's 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for point guard Alessandro Piazza (175-87) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 6 steals. American swingman Perrin Buford (198-94, college: Middle Tenn.St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Agrigento and five Scafati players scored in double figures. Agrigento maintains third place in A2 with 9-6 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Angelico Biella.
