Regular Season Round 23: Jiangsu TX MK - Sichuan BW 91-105

Not a big story in a game when 18th ranked Jiangsu TX (5-18) lost at home to tenth ranked Sichuan BW (12-11) 105-91 on Friday. Sichuan BW dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Jiangsu TX's 40. They outrebounded Jiangsu TX 57-40 including a 26-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Sichuan BW looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). Guard Rongqi Huang (190-99) contributed with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Four Sichuan BW players scored in double figures. Sichuan BW's coach XueZeng Yang used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American guard Jared Cunningham (193-91, college: Oregon St.) answered with 32 points and Nigerian-American power forward Ikechukwu Diogu (204-83, college: Arizona St.) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Jiangsu TX. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sichuan BW. Defending champion moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Beijing D. Jiangsu TX lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eighteenth position with 18 games lost. Sichuan BW will face Jiangsu Dragons (#11) in Nanjing in the next round. Jiangsu TX will play at home against Xinjiang Flying Tige (#3) and hope to win that game.
