Basketligan round 18 most important game was a victory of Nassjo over 4th ranked Uppsala Basket 86-60 on Friday night. The game without a history. Nassjo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Uppsala Basket's 28. They outrebounded Uppsala Basket 42-24 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American center Dartaye Ruffin (205-91, college: Drexel, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Jonathan Peleg (191-94) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four Nassjo players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Jonathan Person (190-93, agency: Interperformances) replied with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Andreas Person (190-91) added 15 points in the effort for Uppsala Basket. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nassjo maintains seventh position with 7-9 record. Uppsala Basket lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with seven games lost. Nassjo are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Malbas (#9) in Malmo in the next round. Uppsala Basket will have a break next round.
