Regular Season Round 15: Iberostar Tener. - Andorra 89-72

There was no surprise in Tenerife where 7th ranked Andorra (8-6) was defeated by fourth ranked CB Canarias (10-4) 89-72 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by CB Canarias. Andorra managed to win fourth quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. CB Canarias shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 51.5 percentage. The best player for the winners was American point guard Davin White (185-81, college: CS Northridge) who scored 20 points and 5 assists. Canadian-Dutch forward Aaron Doornekamp (201-85, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Georgian Beka Burjanadze (201-94) who recorded 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Georgian center Giorgi Shermadini (217-89) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. CB Canarias moved-up to third place, which they share with Valencia. Loser Andorra dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. CB Canarias will meet bottom-ranked La ICL Manresa (#17) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Andorra will play against the league's second-placed Real Madrid (#2) and hope to secure a win.
