CBA round 23 most important game was a victory of Shandong Bulls over 7th ranked Beijing Ducks 101-89 on Friday night. Shandong Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Beijing Ducks' 42. American forward Jason Thompson (211-86, college: Rider) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds. International forward Yanyuhang Ding (200-93) contributed with 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for the winners. American forward Grant Jerrett (208-93, college: Arizona) answered with 18 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Stephon Marbury (188-77, college: Georgia Tech) added 19 points in the effort for Beijing Ducks. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shandong Bulls have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place. Beijing Ducks lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Sichuan BW. Shandong Bulls are looking forward to face North Control (#17) in Beijing in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Beijing Ducks will play at home against TianJin Steel (#13) and are hoping to win this game.
