Regular Season Round 30: Nagoya DD - Tochigi Brex 59-77

An interesting game for Tochigi Brex (21-6) which played road game in Nagoya against second-best Diamond Dolphins (18-11). Second ranked Tochigi Brex had an easy win 77-59. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Diamond Dolphins. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-59. Tochigi Brex dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Diamond Dolphins' 30. It was a good game for American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 19 rebounds. The other American import forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. Guard Takaya Sasayama (178-93) replied with 13 points and Canadian center Jordan Bachynski (218-89, college: Arizona St.) added 13 points in the effort for Diamond Dolphins. Tochigi Brex keeps a position of league leader, which they share with SeaHorses. Loser Diamond Dolphins keep the second place with 11 games lost. Tochigi Brex will face Chiba Jets (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Diamond Dolphins will play against Shiga L-Stars and hope to win that game.
