The game in was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Taiwan Beer (10-9) played at the court of fifth ranked Pauian (8-11). Pauian did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 94-76 on Saturday. Pauian dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Taiwan Beer's 42. Worth to mention a great performance of international power forward Quincy Davis (206-83, college: Tulane) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and the former international swingman Ching-Pang Lin (190-85) who added 21 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Four Pauian players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Bryan Davis (206-86, college: Texas A&M) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and Yu-Lin Chang (190-86) scored 12 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Pauian maintains fifth position with 8-11 record. Defending champion Taiwan Beer keeps the fourth place with nine games lost. Pauian will meet league's leader Fubon Braves in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Taiwan Beer will play against KKL and hope to secure a win.
