Regular Season Round 29: Shinshu BW - Kagoshima 94-76 OT

Sixth-ranked Kagoshima (3-24) made lots of trouble for sixth ranked Shinshu BW (8-19) in Nagano on Monday. Shinshu BW managed to secure only eighteen-point victory 94-76. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 26-17 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 18-point victory in overtime. Shinshu BW made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Shinshu BW outrebounded Kagoshima 51-37 including 16 on the offensive glass. Kagoshima was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Will Carter (200-88, college: San Jose St., agency: HMS) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 21 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Yosuke Yosuke (184-85) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-91) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks and American-Panamanian forward Tymell Murphy (196-90, college: FIU) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Kagoshima's coach rotated twelve players in such tough game. Shinshu BW moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Bambitious Nara and Tokyo Excel. Kagoshima at the other side keeps the sixth position with 24 games lost. Shinshu BW will face Aomori Watts (#5) at home in the next round.
