Regular Season Round 29: Bambitious Nara - Fukushima 83-90

There was no surprise when 4th placed Bambitious Nara (8-19) was defeated at home by second ranked Fukushima (19-8) 90-83 on Monday. Fukushima made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. The best player for the winners was American center Nigel Spikes (208-89, college: Marshall) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Shota Kanno (187-92) chipped in 26 points. Fukushima's coach Tomohiro Moriyama used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) produced 27 points and 8 rebounds and guard Atsunobu Hirao (178-89) added 14 points respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fukushima keeps a position of league leader. Bambitious Nara at the other side keeps the fourth place with 19 games lost. Fukushima will have a break next round. Bambitious Nara will play again at home against the league's leader Fukushima (#1) and hope to win that game.
