Regular Season Round 9: Maccabi R.Gan - H.R. Le-Zion 84-50

An interesting game for Maccabi Ramat Gan (7-1) which hosted in Ramat Hen 4th placed Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (3-5). First ranked Maccabi Ramat Gan had an easy win 84-50. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion. Maccabi Ramat Gan dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion's 32. They outrebounded Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion 53-27 including a 40-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Maccabi Ramat Gan looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion's players. It was a good game for American power forward Danielle Adams (185-89, college: Texas A&M) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Alyssa Baron (178-92, college: Pennsylvania) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Shae Kelley (185-91, college: Minnesota) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and guard Keren Nechama (176-90) added 9 points in the effort for Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion. Maccabi Ramat Gan have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-1 record, which they share with Maccabi Ashdod. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Ramat Hasharon. Maccabi Ramat Gan is looking forward to face Hapoel Z/MM (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion will have a break next round.
