Bottom-ranked Al Khor (0-7) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to sixth ranked Al Ahli (4-3) 73-69 on Tuesday evening. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 22-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was Ndoye Seydou Elhadj who scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Serbian point guard Branko Jereminov (186-87) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American Rickey Young (205-90, college: W.Virginia Tech) who recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import point guard Dairese Gary (185-88, college: N.Mexico) added 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. The victory was the third consecutive win for Al Ahli. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Al Arabi. Al Khor lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. Al Ahli's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Doha Al Shamal.
