Regular Season Round 7: Hoops - Homenetmen 70-91

Pepsi LBL top team - Homenetmen (7-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Hoops Club (0-7) in Beirut 91-70. The game without a history. Homenetmen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Homenetmen forced 21 Hoops Club turnovers and had a 23-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for South Sudanese center Ater Majok (208-87, college: Connecticut) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. American forward Dewayne Jackson (203-90, college: Morgan St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) accounted for 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Four Homenetmen players scored in double figures. International point guard Ali Mezher (182-94) came up with 21 points and 6 assists and American forward Omar Thomas (196-82, college: UTEP) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Hoops Club in the defeat. Homenetmen have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. Hoops Club at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Homenetmen's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Beirut to the arena Al Riyadi.
