Regular Season Round 25: Guangdong ST - Fujian S. 123-113

Very expected game in Dongguan where 15th ranked Fujian (7-18) was defeated by second ranked Guandong Tigers (21-4) 123-113. Guandong Tigers players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. 30 personal fouls committed by Fujian helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Donald Sloan (190-88, college: Texas A&M) nailed 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import power forward Carlos Boozer (206-80, college: Duke) accounted for 18 points and 15 rebounds. American point guard Dwight Buycks (191-89, college: Marquette) came up with 41 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists and international Zhelin Wang (215-94) added 19 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for Fujian in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guandong Tigers used an opportunity after Shanghai S. lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Fujian at the other side dropped to the sixteenth place with 18 games lost. Guandong Tigers' next round opponent will be Sichuan BW (#9) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Fujian will play against Leopards (#6) in Shenzhen and hope to win that game.
