Regular Season Round 14: Cefalu - Teramo 83-68

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Cefalu (6-7) won against at home 8th ranked Teramo (6-7) 83-68 on Wednesday. Cefalu dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Teramo's 20. They outrebounded Teramo 45-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Marco Mollura (196-93) who scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Jordan Losi (182-80) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Cefalu players scored in double figures. Cefalu's coach Fabio Nardone used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Simone Salamina (188-88) produced 22 points and the former international guard Gennaro Tessitore (193-82) added 14 points respectively for the guests. Cefalu moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Varese Robur and Teramo. Cefalu will face Patti (#14) on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
