Regular Season Round 25: Qingdao E. - Jiangsu TX MK 117-106

There was no surprise when 18th ranked Jiangsu TX (5-20) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Qingdao Eagles (11-13) 117-106. Qingdao Eagles players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 assists for the winning side and Greek center Loukas Mavrokefalidis (207-84) accounted for 26 points and 4 assists. Qingdao Eagles' coach XiaoBin Gong allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Nigerian-American power forward Ikechukwu Diogu (204-83, college: Arizona St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and Jordanian forward Zaid Abbas (203-83) added 24 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Jiangsu TX in the defeat. Five Qingdao Eagles and four Jiangsu TX players scored in double figures. Qingdao Eagles maintains twelfth place with 11-13 record. Jiangsu TX lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the eighteenth position with 20 games lost. Qingdao Eagles' next round opponent will be higher ranked Jiangsu Dragons (#11) in Nanjing and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jiangsu TX will play on the road against Bayi Rockets (#19) in Ningbo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
