Regular Season Round 15: Gimle BBK - Asker Aliens 90-73

Everything went according to plan in Bergen where fifth ranked Gimle BBK (10-8) beat 7th ranked Asker Aliens (8-9) 90-73. Asker Aliens were ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 53-32 second half run of Gimle BBK. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Nick Victor (196-92, college: Yale) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists. Swingman Magne Fivelstad (198-89, college: Barry) accounted for 22 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Five Gimle BBK players scored in double figures. DR Congolese power forward Djo Yele (203-82) came up with 20 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Espen Stien (186-86) added 24 points respectively for Asker Aliens in the defeat. Gimle BBK moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Nidaros Jets. Asker Aliens at the other side keep the seventh position with nine games lost. Gimle BBK will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Asker Aliens will play at home against Ammerud Bskt (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
