Regular Season Round 16: Eurobasket Roma - FCM Ferentino 78-72

Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Roma E-basket (9-7) defeated at home 10th ranked FCM Ferentino (7-9) 78-72 on Friday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Roma E-basket outrebounded FCM Ferentino 35-20 including 23 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Michael Deloach (185-86, college: Norfolk St.) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian point guard Nicolas Stanic (180-84, agency: Players Group) who added 19 points and 4 assists (perfect from downtown making all five shots) during the contest. At the losing side the former international power forward Angelo Gigli (209-83) responded with 25 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and naturalized Argentinian guard Bernardo Musso (193-86, agency: Interperformances) scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Roma E-basket moved-up to fifth place in A2. Loser FCM Ferentino dropped to the twelfth position with nine games lost. Roma E-basket will face Lighthouse TR (#7) in Trapani in the next round. FCM Ferentino will play at home against the league's second-placed Legnano (#2) and hope to win that game.
