There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Novipiu Casale (7-9) beat at home top-ranked Angelico Biella (11-4) 75-66 on Friday. Novipiu Casale looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Giovanni Tomassini (188-88) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Luca Severini (204-96) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Jazzmarr Ferguson (185-89, college: IU Southeast) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and American-Irish forward Mike Hall (203-84, college: G.Washington, agency: Interperformances) scored 8 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Novipiu Casale moved-up to eleventh place in A2. Loser Angelico Biella still keeps top position with four games lost. Novipiu Casale will face higher ranked Roma Virtus (#6) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Angelico Biella will play against Viola RC (#13) and hope to win that game.
