Regular Season Round 13: Maccabi Raanana - Ramat Hasharon 81-75

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Hasharon (3-10) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Maccabi Raanana (7-4) 81-75 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Maccabi Raanana dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Hasharon's 24. Point guard Guy Lavie (188-92) fired 21 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American center Josh Hairston (203-92, college: Duke, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized Swiss point guard Jonathan Shtarkman (188-91) produced 23 points and 6 assists and American Brian Asbury (201-86, college: Miami, FL) added 16 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Four Hasharon players scored in double figures. Maccabi Raanana moved-up to fourth place. Hasharon lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Maccabi Raanana will face Ironi Kiryat Ata (#8) at home in the next round. Hasharon will play against the league's second-placed Hapoel B/S (#2) and hope to win that game.
