Very important is a road loss of third ranked United (10-10) against fourth ranked Illawarra Hawks (11-10) on Saturday night. Visiting United was defeated by Illawarra Hawks in Gwynneville 106-88. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of United. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Illawarra Hawks moved-up to second place. Loser United dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. Illawarra Hawks will meet at home Bullets (#6) in the next round. United will play against Cairns Taipans and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
