Regular Season Round 13: Stal Ostrow - PGE Turow 82-71

An interesting game took place in Ostrow Wlkp. where higher ranked PGE Turow (8-6) was upset on the court of tenth ranked Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (8-7) 82-71. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. outrebounded PGE Turow 41-23 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by PGE Turow's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Vincentian center Shawn King (208-82, college: ORU, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international Lukasz Majewski (199-82) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Stal Ostrow Wlkp. players scored in double figures. Stal Ostrow Wlkp.'s coach Emil Rajkovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. International swingman Michal Michalak (197-93) answered with 21 points and American point guard Tweety Carter (180-86, college: Baylor) added 15 points in the effort for PGE Turow. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. moved-up to ninth place. PGE Turow lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Stal Ostrow Wlkp.'s next round opponent will be league's second-placed Stelmet in Zielona Gora and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. PGE Turow will play at home against Rosa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
