Leader Groningen delivered the thirteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 6th ranked Rotterdam (5-9) 98-58. The game was mostly controlled by Groningen. Rotterdam managed to win fourth quarter 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Rotterdam to just 5 points in third quarter. Groningen dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Rotterdam's 32. They outrebounded Rotterdam 48-35 including a 37-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Groningen shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. American forward Chase Fieler (203-92, college: FGCU) scored 28 points and 7 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import swingman Jason Dourisseau (196-83, college: Nebraska) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Groningen's coach Erik Braal felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international center Robert Krabbendam (213-86, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Court Side) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and American guard La'Shard Anderson (185-89, college: Boise St.) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds.
