Regular Season Round 13: B.Cearense - Vitoria 77-82

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Universo/Vitoria (7-4) beat 10th ranked SKY/Basquete (5-7) in Aldeota 82-77 on Saturday. Universo/Vitoria dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to SKY/Basquete's 22 and made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Universo/Vitoria looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a very good performance for American point guard Kenny Dawkins (175-87, college: Lamar) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his seven free throws). The former international Arthur Silva (196-82) contributed with 18 points and 5 assists for the winners. The former international point guard David Rossetto (180-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 assists and the former international forward Felipe Ribeiro (201-79) added 20 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for SKY/Basquete. Four SKY/Basquete players scored in double figures. Universo/Vitoria moved-up to third place. Loser SKY/Basquete keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. Universo/Vitoria will face Liga Sorocaba (#13) in Sorocabana in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SKY/Basquete will play at home against Paulistano and hope to win that game.
