There was no surprise when 13th ranked Salerno (1-11) was edged at home by fourth ranked Marghera (8-4) 73-72 on Saturday. Salerno trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 29-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 72-73 at the end of the game. Guard Federica Iannucci (175-93) fired 27 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Argentinian swingman Macarena Rosset (178-91, agency: Players Group) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists.
