Very expected game when 11th ranked Carugate (3-10) was rolled over on the road by fourth ranked Costa Masnaga (10-3) 86-45 on Saturday. The game without a history. Costa Masnaga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Costa Masnaga forced 22 Carugate turnovers and outrebounded them 49-37 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Swingman Alessandra Visconti (187-87) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Michela Longoni (170-91) chipped in 17 points. Four Costa Masnaga players scored in double figures. Power forward Marta Scarsi (182-95) produced 11 points and 8 rebounds and guard Francesca Diotti (170-97) added 7 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Costa Masnaga moved-up to third place in A2. Loser Carugate keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. Costa Masnaga will face Milano (#6) on the road in the next round.
