Regular Season Round 17: Fubon Braves - Pauian 75-72

Fifth-ranked Pauian (9-12) was very close to win a game against first ranked Fubon Braves (15-6) on Saturday. Fubon Braves managed to secure only three-point victory 75-72. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Pauian. Guard Wei-Che Lin (182-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 4 assists. Canadian center Liam McMorrow (218-87, college: Tenn Tech) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. International power forward Quincy Davis (206-83, college: Tulane) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks and the former international swingman Ching-Pang Lin (190-85) added 18 points and 4 steals in the effort for Pauian. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Fubon Braves have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 15-6 record, which they share with Dacin Tigers. Pauian at the other side keeps the fifth position with 12 games lost. Fubon Braves is looking forward to face Taiwan Beer (#4) in the next round. Pauian will play against Yulon Luxgen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
