Regular Season Round 13: GS Larissas - Ethnikos 85-73

Bottom-ranked GS Larissas managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of two consecutive losses. This time newly promoted GS Larissas won against fifth-ranked Ethnikos 85-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ethnikos. Serbian guard Stefan Nikolic (193-87) stepped up and scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and forward Anastasios Spyropoulos (204-95, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side center Kostas Macheras (205-85) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Anastasios Antonakis (205-92) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ethnikos' coach Vangelis Vlahos rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. GS Larissas (3-10) moved-up to fifteenth place. Ethnikos at the other side dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Aiolos Astakou. GS Larissas will play against league's leader Panionios in Athens in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ethnikos will play at home against Arkadikos (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
