Regular Season Round 8: Fukuoka Rizing - Otsuka A. 85-81

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Fukuoka. First ranked Fukuoka Rizing faced 4th ranked Otsuka A.. Host Fukuoka Rizing (21-3) defeated guests from Tokyo (14-10) 85-81. Otsuka A. was ahead by 7 points at the halftime before a 54-43 second half run of Fukuoka Rizing. They also forced 27 Otsuka A. turnovers. Otsuka A. was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Fukuoka Rizing maintains first position with 21-3 record. Otsuka A. at the other side keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will play against bottom-ranked Tokyo Big Blue (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Otsuka A. will play against Aisin AW (#6) in Aichi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
