Very predictable result in Gorzow Wlkp. where second ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (11-3) smashed bottom-ranked TS Ostrovia (2-12) 81-58. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to TS Ostrovia's 28. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski forced 26 TS Ostrovia turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Australian guard Stephanie Talbot (188-94) notched 12 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the effort and American forward Courtney Hurt (185-90, college: VCU) supported her with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski players scored in double figures. Even 11 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Azia Capri Bishop (190-93, college: Kentucky) did not help to save the game for TS Ostrovia. Her fellow American import point guard Jordan Jones (168-93, college: Texas A&M) added 9 points and 5 assists for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Sleza Wroclaw and Wisla Can-Pack. TS Ostrovia lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski will play against CCC Polkowice (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. TS Ostrovia will play against Artego Bydg. (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
