LFB top team - Lattes Montpellier (10-3) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Lyon (3-10) 92-62. The game without a history. Lattes Montpellier led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Lyon's 28. Lattes Montpellier looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Lyon's players. The former international center Elodie Godin (191-85) fired 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international power forward Geraldine Robert (183-80) chipped in 19 points. Four Lattes Montpellier players scored in double figures. American forward Lauren Ervin (191-85, college: Arkansas, agency: Two Points) produced 14 points and 9 rebounds and Mali center Djene Diawara (192-85) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lattes Montpellier have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 10-3 record, which they share with Flammes. Lyon lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Tarbes and Angers. Lattes Montpellier will meet Basket Landes (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
