Regular Season Round 13: Flammes - Bourges 71-70

The most exciting game of round 13 in the LFB took place in Charleville. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Bourges (8-5) to second ranked Flammes (10-3) 71-70 on Saturday evening. Bourges cut a 15-point halftime deficit to one at the end of the game. Flammes forced 21 Bourges turnovers. Kadidia Minte (186-91) stepped up and scored 23 points (made all of her seven free throws) for the winners and international guard Amel Bouderra (160-89) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. At the losing side Brazilian center Clarissa Dos Santos (184-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and international point guard Marine Johannes (174-95) scored 16 points. Bourges' coach Valerie Garnier rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Flammes have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Lattes Montp. Bourges lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Villeneuve. Flammes is looking forward to face Lyon (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bourges will play against Angers (#10) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
