Very important is a road loss of second ranked Forssan Alku (11-5) against ninth ranked Aanekosken (6-11) on Saturday night. Visiting Forssan Alku was defeated by Aanekosken in a tough game in Aanekoski 76-85. It looked good early as Forssan Alku took a 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Aanekosken had a 24-15 second period charge getting the lead and Forssan Alku was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 76-85. They outrebounded Forssan Alku 55-35 including 19 on the offensive glass. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for guard Faith Randolph (178, college: Virginia) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Center Kenya Robinson (183-70, college: New Orleans) helped adding 14 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was guard Tyonna Snow (178-93, college: Missouri St.) with 22 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and guard Kiana Johnson (168-93, college: Virginia Union) scored 25 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Forssan Alku's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Aanekosken moved-up to seventh place. Forssan Alku at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Aanekosken will play against Espoo Team (#9) on the road in the next round. Forssan Alku will play against ViVe (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
