Regular Season Round 17: RAC Basket - SAP Vaucluse 90-82

There was no surprise when 17th ranked SAP Vaucluse (5-12) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Rueil (11-6) 90-82 on Saturday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 30-14. But SAP Vaucluse won second period 29-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rueil looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Will Felder (201-91, college: Miami, OH, agency: Court Side) who scored 19 points. Forward Karim Gourari (204-89) chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Bahamas forward Bennet Davis (206-84, college: Northeastern, agency: Inception Sports) produced 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and American point guard Deremy Geiger (180-90, college: Idaho, agency: Blacktop Management) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Five Rueil and four SAP Vaucluse players scored in double figures. Rueil moved-up to third place, which they share with Caen. SAP Vaucluse lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 12 games lost. Rueil will face Saint Vallier (#6) at home in the next round. SAP Vaucluse will play against Vitre (#12) and hope to win that game.
