A very interesting game took place in Vitre. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 11th ranked Vitre (8-9) to tenth ranked UB Chartres (9-8) 76-73 on Saturday evening. Vitre was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 29-25 charge of UB Chartres, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Jonathan Mitchell (201-87, college: Rutgers, agency: Inception Sports) nailed 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Olivier Romain (180-88) accounted for 19 points and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Forward Guillaume Merie (198-83) came up with 14 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Yann Siegwarth (180-93) added 15 points and 7 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) respectively for Vitre in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. UB Chartres moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Lourdes and Orchies. Vitre at the other side dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. UB Chartres' next round opponent will be Angers BC (#11) on the road. Vitre will play against SAP Vaucluse and hope to win that game.
