Regular Season Round 16: RPC Anderlecht - Gistel Oostende 73-91

Bottom-ranked Gistel Oostende managed to get a third victory. This time they won against twelfth-ranked RPC Anderlecht 91-73. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 18-point difference suggests that Gistel Oostende is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian Luka Kotrulja (196-98) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Power forward Tim Lambrecht (206-98, agency: Court Side) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Nicolas Neskens (201-84, agency: Promotex) replied with 18 points and 5 rebounds and the former international point guard Geoffrey Hockins (188-88) added 14 points in the effort for RPC Anderlecht. RPC Anderlecht's coach Philippe Hoornaert rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Gistel Oostende (3-12) moved-up to twelfth place. RPC Anderlecht lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with 11 games lost. They share it with Ekeren. Gistel Oostende will play against higher ranked Soba (#5) in Antwerpen in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. RPC Anderlecht will play at home against Houthalen (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
