Very important is a loss of third ranked Yulon Luxgen (13-9) against fifth ranked Pauian (10-12) on Sunday night. Yulon Luxgen was crushed by Pauian 84-63. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Yulon Luxgen's 26 and made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Yulon Luxgen 53-28 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was international power forward Quincy Davis (206-83, college: Tulane) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 22 rebounds. The former international swingman Ching-Pang Lin (190-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Five Pauian players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Ivorian-French power forward Herve Lamizana (208-81, college: Rutgers, agency: Basket Management Solutions) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and the former international guard Shih-Yuan Chou (188-83) added 15 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pauian maintains fifth position with 10-12 record. Loser Yulon Luxgen keeps the third place with nine games lost. Pauian will meet Bank of Taiwan (#6) in the next round. Yulon Luxgen will play against Taiwan Beer and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
