Regular Season Round 13: Jarvenpaa - Pyrinto II 79-61

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Pyrinto II's (4-10) road loss to eighth ranked Jarvenpaa (6-7) 61-79. It looked good early as Pyrinto II took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Jarvenpaa had a 28-13 second period charge getting the lead and Pyrinto II was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 61-79. They outrebounded Pyrinto II 52-38 including 19 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Leo Tarjanne (189-95) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds. American forward HL Coleman (202-74, college: Wyoming) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Jarvenpaa's coach Jarkko Lanu allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Tuomas Sukanen (198-91) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Lassi Kilpinen (185-93) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Pyrinto II. Jarvenpaa moved-up to sixth place in Division. Pyrinto II at the other side keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. Jarvenpaa's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Espoo United on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pyrinto II will play against Porvoon Tarmo (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
