No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Rybnik (9-7) beat on the road 10th ranked AZS PS Gliwice (4-12) 70-65 on Sunday. Rybnik made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Rybnik outrebounded AZS PS Gliwice 42-26 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Krzysztof Zielinski (192-82) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Forward Adam Bialdyga (198-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Rybnik players scored in double figures. Power forward Filip Taisner (202-94) answered with 19 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Krzysztof Wasowicz (183-94) added 10 points and 5 assists in the effort for AZS PS Gliwice. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Rybnik moved-up to sixth place in Group C. AZS PS Gliwice lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Rybnik will have a break next round. AZS PS Gliwice will play on the road against Przemysl (#7) and hope to win that game.
