The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Azkoitia maintains eleventh place in Group A with 4-9 record. Newly promoted Ponce Valladolid keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. Azkoitia will face higher ranked Real Celta Vigo (#9) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ponce Valladolid will play against the league's second-placed Sant Adria having rather not much hope for a victory.
