Regular Season Round 13: Hapoel J-M - Maccabi K/G 89-50

Fifth ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (7-6) crushed at home 12th ranked Maccabi K/G (2-11) by 39 points 89-50, which is the biggest margin this round on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Hapoel Jerusalem. Maccabi K/G was better in third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Maccabi K/G to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Americans were the main players on the court. Power forward Travis Peterson (208-85, college: Samford) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and swingman Tarence Kinsey (202-84, college: S.Carolina) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Hapoel Jerusalem players scored in double figures. Hapoel Jerusalem's coach Simone Pianigiani felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side swingman Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and forward Alex Rosenberg (201-91, college: Columbia) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Hapoel Jerusalem moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Hapoel T-A and Maccabi Rishon. Maccabi K/G lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Hapoel Jerusalem will face Galil Gilboa (#11) in Rosh Pina in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Maccabi K/G will play on the road against Maccabi Haifa and hope to win that game.
