There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Bottegone (6-9) beat higher ranked Sangiorgese (6-9) in San Giorgio 79-63 on Sunday. Bottegone made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Bottegone had a 33-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Daniele Toscano (196-93, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized Bulgarian guard Georgi Sirakov (187-92, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Bottegone players scored in double figures. Forward Daniele Mario Benzoni (196-80) answered with 25 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Alessandro Priuli (200-86, agency: Players Group) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Sangiorgese.
