Regular Season Round 17: Slask Wroclaw - Sudety 96-45

An interesting game for Slask (16-0) which hosted in Wroclaw 3rd placed Sudety (10-5). Leader Slask had an easy win 96-45. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Sudety. Slask held Sudety to an opponent 23.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 55.6 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Sudety 51-25 including a 42-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Slask players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Sudety's players. Forward Mateusz Stawiak (203-96) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and Maciej Krakowczyk (200-96) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Slask players scored in double figures. Slask's coach Dominik Tomczyk felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Pawel Minciel (203-88) responded with 13 points and 5 rebounds and guard Lukasz Niesobski (185-85) scored 10 points and 4 steals. Slask have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group D with 16-0 record. Sudety at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. Slask will play against Nowa Sol (#13) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Sudety will play against Kalisz (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
