Regular Season Round 31: AB Ancud - Puerto Montt 73-70

Seventh-ranked Puerto Montt (14-16) gave a tough game to fourth ranked AB Ancud (19-13). AB Ancud managed to secure only three-point victory 73-70. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Puerto Montt. It was an exceptional evening for Venezuelan swingman Francisco Centeno (201-85) who led the winners and scored 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. The former international power forward Renato Vera (199-87) accounted for 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. AB Ancud's coach Ivan Gallardo allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American power forward Mike Phillips (201-90, college: Howard) came up with 22 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Louis Munks (190-90, college: Prairie View A&M) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Puerto Montt in the defeat. AB Ancud maintains fourth place with 19-13 record. Puerto Montt at the other side keeps the seventh position with 16 games lost.
