2Liga top team - R8 Basket Krk. (14-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Wisla Krakow (4-12) 84-42. R8 Basket Krk. forced 22 Wisla Krakow turnovers and outrebounded them 48-30 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. R8 Basket Krk. players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Wisla Krakow's players. The best player for the winners was Patryk Pelka (202-89) who scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Jakub Zalucki (194-89, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized French Kamil Czajkowski (200-93) produced 12 points and 9 rebounds and Piotr Lucka (194-96) added 10 points respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted R8 Basket Krk. maintains first place in Group C with 14-1 record. Wisla Krakow lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. R8 Basket Krk.'s next round opponent will be AZS PCz (#13) in Czestochowa which should be another easy win for them. Wisla Krakow will play at home against Zaglebie and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
